Thresholds
A threshold defines the normal and abnormal operating range of measurements. A threshold can consist of up to four abnormal boundaries—Low Warning, High Warning, Low Critical, High Critical. The normal operating range is in between the Low Warning and High Warning. A threshold can be assigned to one or more measurements of the same property.
NOTE. Each measurement can have only one threshold.
To create a Threshold, click Thresholds at the top of your Dashboard. On the Thresholds page Click + to add a Threshold. Complete the fields on the Add Threshold form and click on the ✔ box to save your input. You can enter one or all four of the Abnormal Boundaries depending on which threshold boundaries you want to monitor.
After you have created a Threshold, add the measurements you want assigned to the Threshold by clicking on the Threshold on the list on the left side of your Dashboard, then select the set of available measurements you want assigned. Click on the ✔ box to save your input.
Repeat this process for all Thresholds you want to create.
Notifications
A notification informs registered users or groups of users informed if measurements or system hardware require attention. Measurement notifications are sent if certain thresholds are breached for a specified time, and can be assigned to one or more measurements.
Hardware notifications are sent if system hardware is offline or low on battery, and can be assigned to one or more bridges and sensors.
NOTE. Each Measurement, Bridge and Sensor can have multiple notifications.
To create a Notification click Notifications on the top of your Dashboard. On the Notification page Click + to add a Notification. Complete the fields on the Add Notification form and click on the ✔ box to save your input.
Next, Click on the Notification you just created in the list on the left of your Dashboard to select the measurements with thresholds you want assigned to the Notification
NOTE: Measurements with assigned thresholds appear in the list as green (normal), yellow (abnormal warning), or red (abnormal critical). A measurement displayed in blue has no thresholds assigned.
For each Notification you can also set Silent and Active periods so that you can suppress notifications when you expect the measurement to exceed its Threshold
