Setting a PIN

To set a Pin, follow these easy steps.

  1. Access the Settings screen from the menu.
  2. Turn one of the PIN settings on by selecting the red off switch.
  3. Enter the 4 digit PIN you'd like to use for your app.
  4. Re-enter the PIN — just to verify we have the right PIN.
  5. PIN protection is now on — you'll know this when the switch has turned green.

Each iPad maintains one PIN. You can use it to protect manually deleting orders, non-order-view screens, or both. Once a PIN is set, you can turn PIN protection on or off for these actions as needed.

Note: If you're using multiple iPads in your restaurant, you'll need to set the PIN on each app. PINs are not synched across iPads, so technically each display could have a unique PIN. When using PIN protection, most restaurants use the same PIN for all devices.

Resetting PIN

If you'd like to change an existing PIN, follow these easy steps.

  1. Access the Settings screen from the menu.
  2. Select Change PIN from the menu below.
  3. Enter the new 4 digit PIN you'd like to use for your app.
  4. Re-enter the PIN — just to verify we have the right PIN.
  5. PIN is now updated.

Forgetting Your PIN

If you've forgotten or misplaced a PIN, it's easy to change. But first you'll need to know the activation code used to activate your iPad. The code is provided to customers during installation so its best to contact the person who installed the system. If you are unable to identify the code, contact LRS Support to for more information.

To reset a forgotten PIN, follow these easy steps.

  1. Perform an action that requires a PIN — either accessing a non-order-view screen or manually clearing an order.
  2. When the application asks for a PIN, select the Reset button int he lower lefthand portion of the keypad.
  3. Enter the Activation Code used for this particular iPad.
  4. Enter the new 4 digit PIN you'd like to use for your app.
  5. Re-enter the PIN — just to verify we have the right PIN.
  6. PIN is now updated.
