Below are guidelines for successful configuration of Internet-Enabled Transmitter (TX-7471 & TX-7470 running v10.X.X and above) connectivity:
All-access is outbound
Required access for functions
Protocol | Port Type | Port | Resolve to Address (use only if needed) or make sure DNS \ Proxy servers allow for the following. |
SNTP | UDP | 123 | time.ntp.org |
MQTT | TCP | 8883 |
a1wmci5tf4wamb.iot.us-east-1.amazonaws.com |
Please note:
IP addresses will not resolve to either hostname. The time server is a pool based resolution and will therefore assign an IP based on geographic region or latency. This IP resolves differently for different clients. The MQTT port is set to a dynamic IP LRS will maintain the CNAME, please note please resolve to the CNAME \ Domain Name and not to that resolved IP, you will get a different IP resolve consistently.
The Transmitter on the very top line will show a letter and a state of OFFLINE or ONLINE
Letter Code:
B - Booting Network Interface
L - Link Detected, and Negotiating onto Network
N - IP Address and Network Settings Configured
U - Connected to LRS Connect Services - State on Transmitter now changed to ONLINE
