When programming pagers, it is always important to have all pagers at the location on or in their charging base(s) so that you can remove one pager at a time to program.
-NOTE- The way to program a pager is based on the type of transmitter you have, because the menus and programming codes will be different based on the type of keypad and functions the transmitter has.
Reprogramming with the TX-9560MT & TX-9561MT
- To ensure your LRS Transmitter is set to LRS Guest Mode, press 9-9-6-PROG. If LRS Guest Mode is turned on, only LRS Coasters and Paddle Pagers can be paged.
- Remove only the Pager that you want to reprogram from the charger.
- Allow the Pager to complete the vibration and flashing sequence.
- Enter that Pager’s number (from 1-799) and press PROG twice. (Example: For Pager #20, press 2-0-PROG-PROG).
- The red LED in the top right corner of the transmitter will light up once.
- The pager will flash and / or vibrate to indicate it received the programming. On pager models with the LED number display, the new number will be shown.
- Test the pager by entering the new pager number and pressing Send.
- Repeat steps 2-7 for additional pagers that you would like to program more pagers.
Reprogramming LRS Guest Pagers with the Freedom Transmitters
Models: TX-7400A, TX-7460, TX-7470, & TX-7471
- Place all pagers to be reprogrammed on or in one charging base, leaving a second base empty if you have two or more bases to use.
- On the transmitter keypad, press SETUP and enter Password 29163 (exception - on the T7471 use code 56789)
- Press F2 (DN).
- Press 1 (1: Program).
- Press 1 (1: Prg Pager).
- Press 1 (1: Guest Pagers).
- Choose (1: Coaster or 2: Paddle).
- Choose (1: Non-Alpha or 2: Alpha).
- If the pager should vibrate, press F1 for Yes otherwise, press F4 for No.
- Enter the pager number for this pager.
- Remove the pager to be programmed from the charger.
- When the pager is done flashing and / or vibrating, press ENTER.
- The pager will give a slow revving vibration and glow to indicate it is has been programmed. On CS7 pager models with the LED number display, the new number will now be shown.
- The transmitter will ask you whether the pager beeped or vibrated and if yes, press F1 for Yes. (If No, press F4 and you will be prompted to retry the reprogramming sequence).
- Place the reprogrammed pager on the second charging base or on the very bottom of the first charging base.
- The transmitter will then ask if you would like to program another pager.
- If you would like to program another pager, press F1 for Yes, if you are done, press F4 to complete the process.
- If you chose Yes to program another pager, the transmitter will take you back to step 10 to enter the number that the next pager will be programmed as.
- When you are finished programming all pagers intended, remove the newly reprogrammed pagers from the charging base and page each one to test that they are the correct number and receive a page.
- Reprogram any that do not page.
Reprogramming with the TX-9550LCMG
- To ensure your LRS Transmitter is set to LRS Guest Mode, press 9-1-6-PROG.
- Remove only the Pager that you want to reprogram from the charger.
- Allow the Pager to complete the vibration and flashing sequence.
- Enter that Pager’s number and press PROG. (Example: For Pager #23, press 2-3-PROG).
- The pager will flash and / or vibrate to indicate it received the programming. On pager models with the LED number display, the new number will be shown.
- Test the pager by entering the new pager number and pressing Send.
- Repeat steps 2-6 for additional pagers that you would like to program.
