After all the equipment is set up as shown in 1 - Table Tracker - First Steps, we can pair the Gateway and the iPad.
Different from previous versions of the Gateway, an internet connection and device codes are not required.
Order View screen with the Pair my Gateway drawer
Tap on the Pair My Gateway to launch the Pair Gateway wizard
The first screen reads: First, set up the Table Tracker WiFi network. Then connect the Gateway to the LAN ethernet port on the Table Tracker WiFi router. Next, power on the Gateway, it will boot up and the power and middle (ZigBee), and internet lights will turn on.
As part of the initial equipment set up outlined in the 1 - Table Tracker - First Steps:
- The iPad was connected to the TT Wifi.
- The Gateway was plugged it into power, ensuring to use the designated power supply only. It could take a couple of minutes for the lights to show.
- If you are using an Airport Extreme then your cables should be connected as shown below.
